Applying For a Home in Weber or Davis County
Habitat for Humanity of Weber and Davis Counties is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to partner with local low-income families to help them build or renovate and then buy their own homes within our two-county service area. Habitat homes are simple, decent, safe, and affordable. Habitat homes are affordable for our partner families because:
- our families and other unpaid volunteers provide much of the construction labor
- we sell our homes to qualified low-income families at no-profit prices
- we provide no-interest home loans
- our home loans offer affordable monthly payments
Selection of Our Partner Families
Habitat for Humanity of Weber and Davis Counties uses three basic criteria to select our partner families. We will review each family's:
1) need for better housing2) willingness to partner with Habitat
3) income and ability to pay for a Habitat home
Individuals or families who live or work in Weber or Davis County could qualify for a Habitat home if their gross annual household income for 2009 is:

Persons who reside in Weber or Davis Counties and meet the income limit requirements are eligible to enter the selection process. The application and selection process requires attendance at a Public Information/Orientation meeting, submission of written application materials, a home visit, a credit check, a criminal background check, verification of employment and/or other sources of income and debt, and willingness to work a required number of sweat equity hours alongside Habitat volunteers.
We are typically able to select only one to three of the many applicants we have each year for Habitat homes. While we would certainly prefer to help more families, we are limited by the funds that are available to us. The actual number of partner families that we will select this year will depend upon the funds we are able to raise in the coming months. Las personas o familias que vivan o trabajen en el Condado de Weber o Davis podrian calificar para una casa de Habitat, si su ingreso anual bruto de la casa en 2009 fue de:
